After coming into foster care at age three, Chloe* was diagnosed as profoundly deaf. She had been living in a world of silence.

Chloe’s foster carers knew she was different. They needed a special way to let her know that she was safe and cared for – so they learned sign language. This was their sign of love and it shows how far our carers will go for the children they welcome into their homes.
